The Royal Film Commission's cash rebate is one of the most competitive production incentives in the region — and one of the most misunderstood. This page explains what you actually get, what spend qualifies, and the one deadline that catches producers out.
The rates
It scales with your spend — and with your points
The base rate depends on how much your production spends inside Jordan. A points system can then add up to ten points more.

- The top of the 35–45% band depends on a Jordanian cultural relevance assessment.
- A points bonus of 2% to 10% is added for productions scoring at least 70 of 120 points across culture, local employment, economic contribution, promotion, responsibility and co-production.
- The rebate is capped at USD 5.25 million per project.
- Features, series, documentaries, TV shows, commercials and music videos are all eligible.

Qualifying spend includes
- Salaries of Jordanian crew and cast
- Equipment and facility rental in Jordan
- Accommodation, catering and transport inside the Kingdom
- Studio rental and set construction
- Flights on the national Jordanian carrier
- Up to 15% of post-production done locally
The process
One deadline matters: before the cameras roll
Shoot and document
Qualifying spend is tracked and receipted through the shoot. We keep the paperwork rebate-ready as we go, so the audit at the end is an exercise, not an excavation.
Audit and payment
After delivery, audited cost reports go in, and the rebate is paid within 150 days. An advance of up to 15% (capped at USD 100,000) is available against a bank guarantee.
